👮‍♂️ Engaging with Our Community in Leigh 👮‍♀️

Welcome PC Colker and PC Zalka, who recently joined partners at the Cotton Mill in Leigh for a fantastic youth engagement workshop delivered by the Violence Reduction Team alongside “The Commando Chef” from the Royal Marines.

The session, held between 18:00hrs and 19:30hrs, combined a hands-on cooking experience with an important message – “keep the knife in the kitchen, not on the street.” 🔪➡️🍳

By removing their body armour and taking part fully, both officers created a relaxed and approachable environment, helping to build trust and meaningful connections with young people.

It was a great example of a different approach to policing – engaging, educating, and supporting our communities in a positive way.
